Thanks for this useful plugin!
Once installed, the default setting for config type is 'proxy'. I suppose that a call to

http://www.mysite.com/webmail

would be 'proxified' to 8080 port leaving called URL unchanged.
However what I see is that called URL http://www.mysite.com/webmail is simply redirected to http://www.mysite.com:8080/webmail

Am I missing something important?

I've not looked but I think you must add something like: ProxyPassReverse / http://wheezy.nuxwin.com:8080/

Be aware that some browsers which are keeping trace of redirect will continue to redirect instead.
