Edit: Did you reinstalled your distro since that error: Error on installation: libdigest-md5-perl ?

I don't use SSH Key authentication since it's a server in my cellar.
If that helps, I used this guide to configure my server:

And yes, I reinstalled the system because of my previous issue

Well you're following a howto which is not for i-MSCP... You have not to install any LAMP related package before installing i--MSCP...

You could try to purge any MySQL related package and try again.

I tried to purge:
- mysql-server
- mysql-client
- mariadb-client
- mariadb-server

And all it does it tries to install mysql-server-5.5:
