Obviously we are all waiting for the new api version 2.0 (am i right) but maybe there is already a documentation for the current version

There is no documentation for the latest plugin API version. However, you can always have a look at the existent free plugins. In version 2.0.0, the API will be properly documented.
Don't ask us when the version 2.0.0 will be there. There is no due date.
