Let's encrypt and Email?

  • I just installed Let's encrypt. Now i try my Email Client Thunderbird but it doesnt use the certs. I have to add it the unsecure way. How can i use it correctly?

    I-MSCP 1.5.3 - Debian 9 Stretch

  • This is intrested for me too.

    i-MSCP 1.5.3
Plugins (latest version): ClamAV, CronJobs, DomainAutoApproval, LetsEncrypt, OpenDKIM, PanelRedirect, PhpSwitcher, PolicydSPF, Postgrey, RecaptchaPMA, RoundcubePlugins, SpamAssasin, WHMCS

  • You should be more exact.

Do you mean you want to sign emails (PGP or such?)
Do you mean you want to connect over IMAP/SMTP using the cert?

If the latter one, at the moment this is not implemented, you can only add 1 cert for IMAP/SMTP for the whole server, correct @Nuxwin?.

Please be more specific, then @Ninos can try to answer your question.

  • Please, do a search on our forum. We already answered this question. At this moment, LetsEncrypt plugin is only for customer domains. We will make it usable for imscp panel hostname and services (ftp, mail ....) in version 1.4.x.
