  • Hi, after I search all over the internet, i think i found the answer for: How i change/set rDNS for my server/ip.
    Answer: Must contact the ISP provider!
    It's ok ? this is the answer ?

    What is the differentce or aspects of PTR and rDNS ?
    Can I-MSCP implement PTR in DNS Manger ?

    Thanks in advice ! :P

  • i-MSCP have nothing to do with your rDNS record.

    Hosting companies normally have in their control panel the option to set the rDNS record. If not, write an e-mail or call the company.

    There is no other way to do it.

  • Hello ;

    PTR and rDNS (reverse DNS) are interchangeable words; Only your IP provider can setup the PTR record. Generally, your IP provider (which should be your server provider) provides an interface allowing you to set the reverse DNS.
    The PTR DNS resource record will not be implemented in i-MSCP because it is useless (unless you want manage an internal network).
