engine traffic - Use of uninitialized value

  • Debian Squeeze
    imscp 1.1.18
    PHP 5.3

I got this email from engine traffic ... first error message since the update a week ago

    Code
    1. Use of uninitialized value in addition (+) at /var/www/imscp/engine/traffic/../PerlLib/Servers/httpd/apache_fcgid.pm line 1145.
    2. Use of uengine/trafficninitialized value in addition (+) at /var/www/imscp/engine/traffic/../PerlLib/Servers/httpd/apache_fcgid.pm line 1145.
    3. Use of uninitialized value in addition (+) at /var/www/imscp/engine/traffic/../PerlLib/Servers/httpd/apache_fcgid.pm line 1145.
    4. Use of uninitialized value in addition (+) at /var/www/imscp/engine/traffic/../PerlLib/Servers/httpd/apache_fcgid.pm line 1145.
    5. Use of uninitialized value in addition (+) at /var/www/imscp/engine/traffic/../PerlLib/Servers/httpd/apache_fcgid.pm line 1145.
  • this morn I received same message again ... but if I try to run the command in shell there is no more error:

    Code
    1. /var/www/imscp/engine/traffic/imscp-vrl-traff &>/var/log/imscp/imscp-vrl-traff.log

could it be that maybe some of the logfiles where too big?

  • Hello Nuxwin,
here an update on this ...
a customer asked me to enable DNS lookup in his awstats.conf, after I removed it and set it back to default I do no longer get the error message
I will close this thread because it's not imscp related.

    Regards

  • I would recommend you to not enable that feature on shared hosting environment. Resolving each log entry is a crazy thing ;)
