imscp messing around with *.db files in /var/cache/bind

  • Hello,

    i-mscp is overwriting nearly everyday 2 of my DNS Files in /var/cache/bind and messing them up. The other ones don't get touched. What process could that be? There are no changes made in the admin panel!
    I edited now the db.tpl in /etc/imscp/bind/parts to fit my needs. So even if imscp is again overwriting the DNS files, they should be ok.

  • Hello ;

    I-MSCP itself doesn't trigger any task which can change the zone files. Are you using any plugin?

  • Hello Nuxwin,

    I don't use any plugins.
    Furthermore i-mscp changes the status of a precise domain to expired everyday although I set this domain to "never expiring" twice now: in the admin interface and in the mysql DB. But everyday the domain keeps being unreachable as it's expired.

    Well, set the expire date to never again and look at the database to see what is the value effectively stored. A cron task is run everyday to automatically disable any expired account. I'll check the behavior.

    I cannot reproduce the expiring bug. As I manually edited it in the DB, everything seems to be fine now.
    I'll wait 2 more days and see what will happen with the zone files. If nothing weird is happening, I'll close this thread.

    Thanks.
