Hi there,
if I try to add any DNS records to a domain I always get the error "DNS record already exists".
Is this a known issue with i-MSCP 1.5.3
Build: 2018120800
?

No
You're right, my bad sorry… I didn't imagine your detailed log attachment to your post…
I'll try in the future to extend my imagination to every possible situation presenting on any third party server...
Thank you kess for the detailed and precise answer! Helps me a lot to solve the issue!
What do you expect without follow the reporting rules?
first step was to ask if this is a known issue. But doesn't seem so. So next step would be for me to provide the logs.
What I expect is that we all treat each other with respect and dignity. Should be a given in my opinion.
System information:
Debian 4.9.168 |
i-MSCP 1.5.3 |
Browser used: Safari / FireFox |
Problem: If I try to add a A-record entry for any domain, I do get the error "DNS record already exist." (attachement) |
Reproduce: - login the customers view - switch to Domains - klick on "add DNS resource record" - fill out the form and klick on "add" |
I'm sorry, but I can't still see any logs…
If you need any further help, please see here: Reporting rules - Reminder
I can imagine that after 181 posts (the number of your posts at present) you should know how to do that...
How about log files from /var/log/*?^^
What you can do is to check the database and bind (if it gets saved there, I am not sure right now ... otherwise check the net configuration).
Remove entries (if some for that domain are there) and retry. Otherwise, provide log files.
