default MX and TLS

  • Hi,

to avoid complains from other Mailservers like:

    SSL verify error: certificate name

it is maybe better to set the default MX to

    @ IN MX 10 {$SERVER_HOSTNAME}.

wich has a valid cert, instead of
    @ IN MX 10 mail

    because postfix cannot handle SNI.

Or is there a "overwriteproof" solution to change the default MX ?

    cheers, Olli

  • Set it in the DNS System in your host. I got an additional system for that and it works fine (no issues with MX or even with SPF).

    Have a nice day. :)

  • Was just a suggestion for the next release.

I repalce the /etc/imscp/bind/parts/db.tpl by cron now ;-)

    cheers

  • That change is already planned.
