Upgrade to PHP switcher 3 failed

  • Hi everyone,
actually, the installation of the plugin did work well, but the configuration causes me some troubles.
In fact, the new script fails because of unmet dependencies.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    libmariadb-client-lgpl-dev-compat : Conflicts: libmysqlclient-dev

Therefore, I tried to manually install the mentioned packeges, but while it works with the first, the second is the one making troubles.

    Quote from apt-get

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    libmysqlclient-dev : Depends: libmysqlclient18 (= 5.5.54-0+deb8u1) but 10.1.21+maria-1~jessie is to be installed

Does anybody have an idea how to solve this problem?
I'm running on an updated debian.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Hi FloRet and thanks for the quick answer. Sorry for missing out the important date, totally forgot about it, probably because it's the latest version I'm using.
Anyways, I was able to kind of solve the problem by commenting out the mentioned line from your second link.
PhpSwitcher & mariaDB meining the mentioned fix somehow was not implemented.

From my side, this topic can be seen as closed, thanks again :)

  • Didn't see there was something here.

  • Got the same issue again after updating the plugin, a similar solution worked, using MariaDB 10.1.22 this time

Should be fixed in latest release. See PhpSwitcher plugin v3.0.3 RELEASED
