I have been using an email script on cpanel hosting for some time now and want to transfer it to imscp, but it's a perl script that runs from cgi-bin.
Normally, the path would be something like public_html/mail/cgi-bin/login.cgi but imscp puts cgi-bin outside of the public directory. Why is this and how can I install my script?
Your help please would be much appreciated, have been using imscp for two years now!

Yes, I edited exactly as you have above and restarted apache, but it's still not working.t use
    Little bit baffled, any ideas?
ps: I'm using 1.2.7. I had tried 1.2.9 but went back to 1.2.7 for some reason that I forget right now!

Just remembered why I didn't use 1.2.9. It wouldn't install. Although I had the right OS it kept telling me I didn't have a compatible operating system and could not continue with the install. I changed my OS to every compatible one, and it kept giving the same error, so I went back to 1.2.7.

Hi Jo, thanks for your response. I need wildcard sub-domains for one domain only, and it's not my main domain. So far I've had no luck in configuring this and was wondering if you could be a bit more specific?
I've tried editing /etc/apache2/sites-enabled/domain.conf but with no joy.
So I tried etc/apache2/imscp/domain.conf, again to no avail.
    Is there something I'm overlooking?

Hi all, I was just wondering if I can get your ideas on how to use imscp as my main cp for clients.
iMSCP is certainly the best open source cp out there, and I use it all the time for my own sites, but providing it to customers is a bit more complex, and I generally use cpanel resellers for that.
I would however prefer to switch to imscp all round.
The problem is that there's always the latest release available for download, but the later the release, the least functionality available.
There's hardly any plugins for latest releases, no billing software etc.
So what I was wondering is how do others do it?

For example if anyone wanted to install imscp on a new server, how would you provide your clients with things like spam assassin, php switcher, cron job manager and billing software?
Do you just look for earlier versions or is there something I've overlooked?
Would love to use iMSCP as my only cp, so best advice would be much appreciated.

I don't think the problem is with the script as it works well on the other server. It's something I use for parked domains, you can see it here http://holestheplay.com in case url's don't show holestheplay dot com
It's called quickminisite and you can see the working version here: http://www.quickminisite.com/demo.php
It simply calls news feeds from other sites. My working server (1 above, uses imscp version 1.2.7, not 8 as previously mentioned)

    Love imscp by the way.

    I'm running two servers:
    1. Ubuntu 10.04.LTS
    Imscp version 1.2.8
I'm using a parking page script which works fine

    2. Debian 8.1
    Imscp version 1.2.9
With the same script as above i get
    could not open XML input

Where do I start looking for clues???
