well as luck would have it ....... this new version is not supported in ubuntu 11-10 dddaaammmm
it seems im always bloody unlucky with imscp.... i finally had time to format my vps to try install this 110rc3. during installation it says 11.10 ubutnu is not supported and that i should ask to put some files in....
in reality i dont know if this is progress or a blinking waste of time.
at least 1.0.3. was working for a long while and to make matters worst, i really loved it too. lol

so whats the story now.... will some one add 11.10 to the queue, will it ever be supported, is to too old, do you just dump a system like that or is this all just normal ?????

in the meantime for an answer. my vps is clean and ill be here twiddling my fingers and whistling sweet dixie till someone tell me what will happen or if i whistle long enough to have a dry mouth then im off.

i have a couple silly questions
1, when the other new version is released do i have to redo everything again or can i upgrade?

2, does the new version support inbuilt email servers (i hope thats right) like 1.0.3 because i dont use external email servers?

i work with media files and so
i need a website to advertise my services.
i need email to communicate and an ftp to receive and send files.

if i can get those 3 things working like i had before then 1.1.0 will be good enough for me

i could be mistaken in my line of thinking
i thought that "Latest Stable: 1.0.3.0" meant everything worked out of the box. (im using 1.0.3.0)

i thought that "Latest Beta/RC: 1.1.0-rc3" is built on the 1.0.3.0 with added features and its not stable. i also read somewhere that it only supports external mail servers.
so i think the latest rc may not be for me as i dont use external mail servers. im using postfix and dovecot within imscp

please accept my apoliges if my infomation is incorrect with regards the the latest rc.

i just looked in the /etc/dovecot/ and there is noting in that folder.
i thought that there should be at the very least dovecot.conf.

is this the way it is or should there be some files there?

postfix keeps refusing connection.
sending a mail from google to postfix results in an email google error "451 4.3.5 Server configuration problem"

what is on port 12525 what do i need to do?
im no expert on postfix where is the config file for it?
how do i get emails to all my domains?

went to mxtools and the domain mx and dns checks out just great,

im trying to setup gallery3 on one of my virtual domains
the software (gallery3) is moaning about
" Error: your server is configured to use the suhosin.session.encrypt
setting from Suhosin. You must disable this setting to upload photos."

the "/vars/www/virtual/example.com/htdocs/gallery3/php.ini"
has the "suhosin.session.encrypt setting" and its already set to off
yet the gallery3 software still throws up the above error.
so i wondering which other php.ini löcation should i set to off?

is it possible to only effect just one domain (the domain that has the gallery)
i did look in "/var/www/fcgi/example.com/php5/php.ini" but i could not see
anything relating to suhosin.

just follow the install steps and make your choices.

everything wich is needed will be installed from i-mscp install script.

depending on wich kind of vps you have you may have some restrictions as may no iptables and/or may no statistics inside the i-mscp.

it sure looks like im not meant to run this panel
i have copied the script to the /root in the server
and ried to run it

i got an error
/bin/sh.: bad interpreter: No such file or directory

i googled it and tried all that there is to and still it comes with that error
i have done update and even installed aptitude as one error was moaning about lines 10 and 11 in the script.
i done the : set fileformat=unix and : set ff=unix still no luck.

pure headache

it would be nice to know what versions of linux systems this hosting panel works with for example im on a vps ubuntu 11.10 64bit

it would be good too, in general to update your documents area. as a newbie i came expecting a certain level of standard.

ok now that we are on the docs page i clicked the very first link
"System Requierements" which brings me to another pager telling the docs is not here.

i went to installation then i learnt it does cover all ubuntu but
"i-MSCP requires PHP version >= 5.3.2, and Perl version >= 5.10.1"
what does that mean to a newbie
should i recompile the official unbuntu 11.10
should i install lamp with php 5.3.2 and install perl
do ubuntu 11.10 hahave them already or not?
anyway you got the point

my question now is
i have a clean vps running only ubuntu
do i need to ready the system then lastly install your product or will your product install all the web services needed?

apart from that the images and what you have created and doing is really respected and apreciated. i hope i can be a happy user and part of the community
