Apache Mod Management

  • Hi,
it would be great to implement a management for apache mods in one of the next versions. So admins can easily turn apache mods on and off out of the admin-panel.

  • a2enmod and a2dismod are the commands for enabling and disabling apache2 mods... Why should it be in the admin-panel when you can do it easily on the shell? And you don't do it every day, so I think it doesn't make sense.

    Greetings

  • I dont add Databases or FTP user daily too, but its usefull to do it out of the panel and not via shell.

  • the reason to manage in panel is not to give ssh root out to co-admins, but enable them to manage apache mods. ofc. a valid argument would be not to implement every simple task into the panel. but webhosting related tasks would be nice to have.

is there a imscp plugin api reference somewhere? nobody hurts when such minor task is implemented as plugin.

edit: @abadon84: you dont manage ftp users daily, but your customers need to manage ftpusers on their will :P

Edited once, last by flames ().

  • Api is not available at least for that level. Anyway apache module is not something to mess about using a panel.
