Upgrade 1.1.2 to 1.1.11

  • Hello,

i would like to update my Server now but i am courious about any problems i could get, when i upgrade my version 1.1.2 to 1.1.11.

Do you know any problems or can this run smooth?

If you want really update, I would recommend to update from the stable branch. Then, by doing this, you'll not have to patch anything.

You can download the last stable branch state using the following link: https://github.com/i-MSCP/imscp/archive/stable.zip

  • i definitely want to upgrade. I have the "old" version and i am courious if there could be any changes in new versions that i can not upgrade any more... Thats why i want to upgrade in a time.
At the moment i have some spare time, so i backed up everything, the Upgrade "squeeze" to "wheezy" has been done today.

If i am upgrade to the stable branch, there "should" be no problem? That is great, than i will try that tonight.

    Thank you for your help

You can normally upgrade by closing your eyes but sometime, a bad thing can occur (as with any update). In such case, we can help you either here on our forum or through teamviewer (online support ). To resume, don't worry. The most important thing is to backup your data first.

  • i know... most times i have had no problems, but i have had it one time during an upgrade in the night, that i have crashed the server. I have had a backup, but the upload was just 1mbit, so with around 100gb really slow.
And i don't want to have this again.

I can update your server now (for free) if you want through teamviewer. Send me your teamviewer IDS if you are interested. ;)

  • oh thanks for that offer... but i would like to do it by myself... :-) If you think it should be no problem to change the version, than i think i can manage it :-)

And if i get any problems, i will post soon here.

  • @andy

    Of course ;) You're welcome.
