After upgrade to 1.1.4 MySQL not working correctly

  • Hello!

    I hope someone can help me.

    I have done the Upgrade to 1.1.4 with this HowTo: http://wiki.i-mscp.net/doku.php?id=start:upgrade:debian

    Now I've tested some Joomla websites and alle websites can't connect to the mysql database. I already restarted mysql and looked in the my.cnf. I can't find any solution how to fix this.

    I have done a port check on port 3306. The port is open. A telnet connection on my Debian Server on Port 3306 is working, but a telnet connection from my computer to my Debian Server on port 3306 isn't working. The window from putty automatically closes (normal?).

    Logs:

    /var/log/mysql/ -> empty folder
    /var/log/mysql.err -> empty
    /var/log/mysql.log -> empty

    Thanks in advance!

    You are using Mysql on same server as i-MSCP? Teamviewer?

    I wrote something about logs already in the first post. But I looked now in the syslog and it looks like dovecot can connect to the MySQL Server without any problems.

    Mar 23 19:24:28 srv01 dovecot: auth-worker(1835): mysql(0.0.0.0): Connected to database imscp

    @Nuxwin

    All on the same machine. TeamViewer is possible. PM :)

  • Problem is now fixed.

    I needed to edit the config files and change all entries from "localhost" to "127.0.0.1". Because of the wildcard change in the 1.1.4 version.

    It would be great, when in the SQL user creation form there would be an option to set a hostname.

  • Will be done ;)

  • If someone has a temporary solution to fix the hostname problem, please post it here :D

    What problem exactly? 127.0.0.1 which should be localhost? If yes ----> Last release 1.1.4 - SQL users connection problems
