Some questions after upgrade

  • Hello everybody,
i recently decided to drop ispcp in favor of iMSCP panel. I'm now very happy with that, thank you very much for your work !

Btw I have some "after upgrade" questions:
    - I choosed to use local DNS resolver. Where can I put my forwarders in a manner that they are retained after future upgrades ?
    - My database is still named ispcp and not imscp. How can I easily change that name in all the config files ?
    - The imscp_network script, blocks all the ports that are not related with the panel itself. How can I add my services (TCP and/ord UDP) in a permanent way ?
    - How can i change my webftp panel now that I choosed one ?

Sorry for all these questions, and thank you a lot for your work. Really a very good job !

    Bye Kess.

  • I can't help you about DNS, ask anybody else, but
    - You may rename your database to anything else using queries or phpmyadmin under root http(s)://[your panel's domain]/pma/
    - You'll need to reconfigure panel using imscp-autoinstall -r option
    - You may add your own services using ports confifuration interface of the admin (I don't know about latest release if it may be done)
    - Also you may reconfigure (imscp-autoinstall -r) the panel to choose what do you want to use - Net2FTP or Ajaxplorer
    Best wishes,
    Vitaliy

  • Hi Dragon, thank you very much for reply. I wouldn't think that this could be so easy :-)
Il try that procedure as soon as possible and I'll let you know.
    Thank you very much :-)

  • Hi Dragon,
your procedure worked out perfectly. THANK YOU !
    - ispcp databases have been renamed to imscp*
    - FTP panel have been changed
    - imscp-autoinstall script has now become my favorite friend :-)

    - For my local DNS resolver issue I opened a ticket, I hope someone could tell me how to resolve that
    - The imscp_network script unfortunately does not read what I put in the "Ports" section in the gui... perhaps in the future ?

Thank you very much for your help, I really appreciate that.
