So many of you probably already know about Top and Htop, but how many of you have heard about Glances? I heard about it for the first time yesterday and would like to share it with you guys, since I find it very useful. So give it a shot -> apt-get install glances .

For Ubuntu LTS:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:arnaud-hartmann/glances-stable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install glances

Sounds like a really nice solution to monitor each linux server remotly!

I think this tool could interest you too - it has no remote functionality but a lot of other functions to get system states: http://elmon.sourceforge.net/ (needs to be compiled on your machine)
