Not really an i-MSCP support question, so I moved the thread.
What do you mean, how to check for a ddos attack? This should normally be handled by a firewall infront of your i-MSCP server. There is many different kinds of ddos attacks. SYN flooding is probably the most common one.
Please explain a bit more. -

How to check logs on i-mscp?
You'll have to check the system logs to find proof of a ddos attack. That is not logged within i-MSCP.
Check logs files in:
/var/log/ -
-
install fail2ban
-
install fail2banDoesn't quite protect again a DDOS attack
But you could use it to protect again brute force attempts and exploit scanning, just make some custom filters =).

Hello
mod_evasive and/or Fail2ban
Just my two cents...
-
mod_evasive if you can configure it properly. Else you'll get more trouble then gain.

Can't I check the i-mscp to see if I get attacked or not?

Can't I check the i-mscp to see if I get attacked or not? This has nothing to do with i-MSCP. look in your logs
