Email forward - add cc fields

    I have set up an email with our domain which forwards the email to an external print server.


    [my email client:[email protected]]

    ==> [i-mscp_server:[email protected]]

    ==> [printservice:[email protected]]


    The emails are forwarded. However the print server responds with a message

    The ‘TO’ or ‘CC’ field of the email you sent did not include a printer email address.


    Indeed, the email is delivered like this

    Reply-To: [email protected]

    To: [email protected] <=== I want this to be [email protected]



    I want either the 'To' field to be the address of the external print server, or to add the external print server as a 'CC' field.

    So you need to change the content of the message.

    The mailservers only work with the envelope of an email - the "To:" field in the content (mail header) is not changed.


    Maybe its easier if you setup a filter rule in thunderbird which resends the mail to another address....


    But there maybe other solutions....
