is it possible to upgrade to the current stable from 1.0.3? Are there any steps I have to do bevor running imscp-autoinstall?

Hi,
well, it is very huge jump. If you are still on Debian Wheezy, it is not possible.
I did an upgrade from 1.2.x to 1.5.1 with no problems, but Debian Jessie.
I would suggest to have a look here: https://github.com/i-MSCP/imscp/ and go step by step from 1.0.x -> 1.1.x -> 1.2.x.
Read the instructions of each branch. After you are on 1.2.17, you should upgrade Debian to Jessie.Greets
