trying to grasp how to set DNS right

Hi,

first of all, iMSCP is an awsome program, I have just started with it on a VServer.

I seem to oversee something.

At Namecheap I have defined A-records for the domain
@ , www, mail , webmail all pointing to the right IP and a mx-record
pointing at mail.domain.tld.

I usually have the nameservers for the Company that hosts the server,
in this case I do not know how to proceed. Do I need an external Nameserver?

Is there a simple Instruction or howto for DNS, I have searched inside the wiki
and with google but I seem to miss it.

I forgot to put the nameserver in the settings with the hoster.

It is working now.

Just have to put the rest of the dns-entries in now and see that email will work.
