You're free to install that PHP extension yourself
- For PHP variants that are provided by Debian/Ubuntu, there is a package available. You could also compile and install the extension yourself.
- For PHP variants that are provided by the PhpSwitcher plugin, you can compile the extension yourself. Refer to the PhpSwitcher plugin documentation for further details about how to compile and install an external extension.
