Let's Encrypt certificate renewal failed on single domain

  • Hello,

    I have a Problem with one single domain on which Let' Encrypt failed. All other Domains are working fine.

    Code
    1. Sat Jul 15 00:00:50 2017] [error] Plugin::LetsEncrypt::run: An unexpected error occurred:
    2. ReadTimeout: HTTPSConnectionPool(host='acme-v01.api.letsencrypt.org', port=443): Read timed out. (read timeout=45)
    3. Please see the logfiles in /var/log/letsencrypt for more details.

    Sadly the mentioned logfile does not exist. I am using i-MSCP 1.4.6 with Let's Encrypt plugin 3.3.0.

    I'm sure that you're wrong for the log file. /var/log/letsencrypt is a directory into which you must look for logs....

  • Hi Nuxwin,

    the directory definitely did not exist until I requested a certificate for another new domain. If I grep for the failed domain it therefore does not find anything (grep DOMAIN /var/log/letsencrypt/letsencrypt.log*).

  • your problem is not related with i-mscp or plugin.
    look :

    you must wait and look status on https://letsencrypt.status.io/

    Could you give us access to the server and also say us for which domain name the renewal fail?

    Thanks.

    Fixed. This was a temporary failure not related to the plugin as stated by @AnDee
    Next time, go in the debugger interface (admin level). From that interface, you can force a retry.

    Thread closed.
