    Morning,

By default, the root of web folders is protected using the immutable bit. Thus, you cannot write into the root directory of a domain. However, for each domain, there is a directory named 00_private that is here for storing files outside of the document root (htdocs).

Another solution if you use la recent i-MSCP version is to create another directory inside your htdocs directory, set it as alternative document root, and then, create your directory in the htdocs directory. For instance:

htdocs/<new_docroot> That would become your new document root which you must set through the imscp control panel
htdocs/<outside_docroot> That would be your directory outside of the document root for storing your documents

The last solution is to simply edit the domain as reseller and disable the protected Web folder feature (not recommended).
