Hostname change leads to "Could not find Postfix version"

  • Hi!

I did a /var/www/imscp/engine/setup/imscp-reconfigure --reconfigure hostnames to reconfigure my hostname but the reconfig ends with the following error:

    Code
    1. [ERROR] Servers::mta::postfix::installer::_buildMainCfFile: Could not to find Postfix version

    The main.cf is now empty.

    Debian 8.6
    I-mscp 1.3.8
    dovecot

Did an update just 3 days befor. Everything worked. No changes made in the meantime.

    Regards

  • Solved by changing the hostname.

1.domain.com is (imho a FQDN) NOT a FQDN for postfix as it takes only the "1" and a number is not possible with postfix...

changing it to s1.domain.com - voila!
