Correct SPF settings for Mail forward (google drop)

  • Hello all,

since this thread is closed, but I am facing the same problem, I open this new thread.

Problem: forward to a gmail address fails - no return, not landing in spam - it just vanishes. Forwarding to a non-gmail address works as expected.

I suspect the spf settings in the DNS to be the cause of this. Could someone explain me what value exactly should be put there, so that gmail finds it acceptable? Also, what exactly should be put in the MX record of the DNS settings (various domains active on the server)?

I would appreciate some advice - thanks!

    Chris

  • There's noting your can do with the MX Settings as you probably can't change the sender's domain settings.

You can either configure your google account to regulary fetch the mails from your server or implement SRS.
