cannot retrieve directory listing both in active/passive modes

    debian 8
    proftpd 1.3.5

    I tried to change the passive mode but does not work, sometimes showing directories and other non out that error, you can help me?

    Is there a firewall active on the server or in front of the server? If so you need to set the passive ports in the proftpd config and allow the same range on your firewall.

    I have fail2ban but active FTP is disabled and use a script to protect DDoS http://www.inetbase.com/scripts/ddos/install.sh
    chmod 0700 install.sh, sometimes if you show me the directories but others get stuck, sorry my english.
