yes i checked the php.ini and the open_basedir restriction, but iam not sure with this and therefore i wanted to ask the pros Thx for pointing to this and while i was there i will directly ask what in detail i have to do. in theory i have to add a sumlink to the chroot dir and add the path in /var/www/fcgi/domain/php5/php.ini like this open_basedir = "/var/www/virtual/domain/subdomain:/usr/share/php:/usr/share/rddtool" right?

Sorry i search for rrdtool and i-mscp or cacti or chroot over houres but didnt find any explaining solution. And of course your right whit using monitoring tools on sharedserver / hosting, but perhaps i will only test it befor buy another one ;), but your right.

i want to install Cacti in Debian on a Subdomain. I download cacti 0.8.8a extract and save in webroot for the subdomain, create MySQL DB and User. I installed rrdtool from apt and can start the Installer in Web. But in the Settings the path to rrdtool and snmpwalk ... are not found. All are in /usr/bin, but i got errors -> [ERROR: FILE NOT FOUND].

After searching i think its a permission thing, but i dont know where and how to set it up safely. Can anyone help?

no answers yet and still questions about Quota in i-MSCP. What is the last fact of that? I read and searched in the forum but found any news, am i right? My knowledge about so far, while using dovecot:
- Mail- and Filequota matches at all the hostingplan e.g. at all 10GB mail and web could added max to 10gb
- Mail is always working also when quota is exceeded, fileuploads not
- the quota in gui can only set in userarea, not in reseller nor in paneladmin
- the max size of quota set in gui is 2GB

All these facts right now? Thx for summarize

ja so sehe ich es auch, also nur für Subs. Den Umweg über Domain einem anderen Kunden oder "Dummy" zu erstellen hatte ich auch, fand ihn aber nicht sauber und habe daher hier gesucht und dann gepostet ;). Frag mich halt ob alle hier die Domains "nur" weiterleiten so wie TheCry beschreibt machen. Mh. Habe noch nie nen Ticket aufgemacht :grübel:

leider sehe ich dort keine Möglichkeit. Weder als Reseller noch im Kundenmenü. Ich habe die rc1.4 und wenn ich bei der Weiterleitung erst die 1.Domain eingebe und dann die Weiterleitung auf die eigentliche, dann sagt er logischerweise: "Domain mit diesem Namen existiert bereits auf dem System."

ich habe nur die Hauptdomain registriert und würde diese gerne auf die 2. Hauptdomain die bei einem anderen Hoster liegt weiterleiten. Wie macht man das am besten? Eine Möglichkeit, sofern diese als Kunde im i-MSCP eingetragen ist, habe ich nicht gefunden.

tja und da schreibe ich es noch, die Doku für i-MSCP ist grotte ;). Ich würde ketzerisch auch mal sagen, dass i-MSCP nur von denen weiterentwickelt / verstanden wird, die vorher iscp nutzen, weg gingen und nun hier weiter machen und Wissen behalten ;).

iam not so firm with git and other versioning systems but i understand that this is an beta or alpha. while iam using rc4 on my productiv server, ok i know there is an warning of that, but it works very well, but i wouldnt install an nightly build or how they are named. So my question and i think of all others here is how the quota system works on i-mscp. whitout testing i understand that:
- set the limit of space for an account which is for space, db and mail at all.
- the user can add i.e. more mailaccounts, but the overall quota set by reseller is the limit
- if one of these are over the quota, to have read something at 2 checks via cron which check this quota, whil send at 85% a warning1 and by 95% warning2 <- whould be nice to setup in i-mscp
- after that the space is locked?
- naturly if all added to one sum it must be under the limit of quota which is set by reseller, or?

But what is the maximum of Quota at all or in detail? (disk = disk, mail? mysql?), in dovecot.conf are a max of 1GB right?

ja Zeit ist das größte Problem - bei mir ist grade mein Raid draufgegangen und ich bekomms ums verrecken seit Nov nicht zum laufen, jetzt frag du mal nach Zeit <- ne gerne wenn besagte Zeit da ist, denn ich bin von i-mscp generell begeistert
