Before crying, you should learn a bit and give us sufficient information such as current permissions for the related files (and directories) in your document root. The fact that the service is currently running or not has nothing to do with the permissions... I can seem a bit rude here but it really seem that you understand anything.
Support for PHP 7.2 and 7.3 will be available in next maintenance release. Regarding wildcard SSL certificates, that is far more complicated as this require a new layer for validation through DNS.

Speaking of this it also occurred to me that with this feature it would be possible to simplify the installation procedure because we could always have a remote DNS installation and switch to the local domains you need. What do you think about this?
No. Some users don't want install Bind9. They make use of external DNS servers only. Regarding the resolver, you have plenty of solutions such as systemd-resolved and so on... Installing a software such as Bind9 when you do not want use it as authoritative DNS server for some of your domain is totally useless. Bind9 is not free of resource consumption
