a software client does the job perfectly. or wget via cronjob if timebased updates are ok for you.

usualy it should be still available, if squirrelmail uses a mysql database to store contacts. if squirrelmail uses a file, so it is gone on migration.

you can surely restore squirrelmail files from a backup

i-MSCP used SquirrelMail, you probably need to import it from the old installation. if you used roundcube also before, then the database name was not the same, so just copy over the entries.

dump die imscp Datenbank und alle Kundendatenbanken, importiere diese auf dem neuen Server, kopiere (scp) /etc/imscp /var/www/virtual und /var/mail/virtual auf den neuen Server, installiere i-MSCP. fertig

Dazu ein Nachtrag: Ja, das i-MSCP Setup richtet alle Berechtigungen ein, man braucht nicht /etc/passwd, /etc/shadow oder /etc/gorup manuell zu übernehmen.

possible, i had the issue also on few migrations. but changing theme in database fixed the issue instantly and then run installer again

go to imscp database, table "user_gui_props" and change column "layout" from "omega_original" to "default" in every row.
