I setup a new server with debian squeeze and i-mscp.

After a couple of days I was wondering, ´cause some emails wouldn´t come into my mailbox. Instead of this I get a message like:

    Code
    1. Apr 16 21:53:38 XXXXX postfix/policyd-weight[12021]: decided action=550 temporarily blocked because of previous errors - retrying too fast. penalty: 30 seconds x 0 retries.; <client=XX.XX.XX.XXXX> <helo=mail.mt66.de> <[email protected]> <[email protected]>; delay: 0s

    Q: Why that/ what´s going on here?

A: Every incoming mail would be checked if it´s possible that it is SPAM or not. For that it does give a white- (non SPAM) and blacklist (100% SPAM). But between white and black it does give many kinds of grey. And so it does give a greylist, too.

BUT: This greylist is not just one list. It get many infos out of more than one listing. And there is the problem. One of these listings was going down some time ago. The greylist try to connect to this not existing list and return a error. Sometimes the AntiSPAM-System is thinking that this mail is SPAM and deleted it.

To remove this problem follow these steps:

    • Open this file
      /etc/policyd-weight.conf
    • search for

      Code
      1. 'rbl.ipv6-world.net', 4.25, 0, 'IPv6_RBL'

    • commend this line out

      Code
      1. # 'rbl.ipv6-world.net', 4.25, 0, 'IPv6_RBL'

    • save the file and restart your mailserver.

Now your problem has gone (I hope so). On my server it works now.

PS: Sorry for my english - but - it´s 0100 a.m. and I´m tiered :shy:

PPS: If someone finds errors/ mistakes - you can have them :P (no! please give me an info, so I can correct it)

Sorry - I thought it was a bug - but I didn´t know if this was a bug in i-mscp or ispcp (and I really don´t thought about it). And - 2,2 GB on server one... and 83 GB on server two... wow. There must be a very big bug in the other system. If there was a difference between 1 or 2 GB - that´s okay - but so much?

@schi2tech : I´ve chedked all subdomains in the i-mscp-database - and they are all accessible.
TheCry : I have many logs (I´d activated the debug mode during the installation - do you mean this logs?)

The last two days I migrated an (old) 1.0.7-System to a very new server with 1.0.7 and migrate then to i-mscp 1.0.3.0. The most things are okay - but a few things are very, very tricky.

One of this I will show you here:

In the details of some (NOT ALL!) of my customers the traffic seems to explode.

Here I have a screenshot of the old system:
    old-and-correct.jpg

and here of the new system:
    new-and-shit.jpg

Both screenshots where made today. If there is a difference between some MB - okay. But >80 GB ?! Can someone tell me where the bug is, or wich informations do you need, too?

The second problem was, that the server lost some sub-domains until the migration. But this isn´t so important. And my third problem was that I couldn´t log in at the stats as user (customer) - but I´ve found a hint in the german corner.

PS: If this is the wrong area - please excuse me and (a mod) move this thread to the right one ;-)

In diesem Sinne ein schönes Wochenende.

    (Its not a bug - it´s a feature <- damit´s nicht langweilig wird)

Ahhh... Ok i didn't had a look on your username. I thought this were 2 different user who has the same problem

Sorry - first I´ve opened a thread in the german corner. After this I read the info, that the real good support is just in the english part of this forum, ´cause here can help all users arround the world (with my words). So I opened a second thread here in the "migration"-area :-)

One question... Which OS is running on your old ispcp server?

TheCry: This question I answered in the german corner - and this is my problem. It´s Debian 5 (Lenny) and this didn´t work perfekt with i-mscp. So I would install ispcp 1.0.7 on my new server, make a backup of the needed files on the old server , copy them on the new server and after this I will make an restore on the new one.

If it works I will post it here (or in an new thread). ;)
