Bug found but it is not due to i-MSCP. The bug comes for the courier-authdaemon init script which is provided by Ubuntu (Trusty Thar). I've not tested for other Ubuntu versions.
To resume, you must replace the following line in the /etc/init.d/courier-authdaemon init script:

Note: For the imscp_panel issue, please create another thread. Be aware that I'm not able to reproduce the problem anyway.
Changed the couriert auth init script and now it only failed, because the imscp panel wont restart.
