The problem has been fixed. This was due to the fact that some files were edited and uploaded from a Windows operating system... The following commands solved the problem:
Please, NEVER edit and upload any i-MSCP file from windows.
Note: I've also updated your system to the latest state of the 1.2.x branch, and I've removed older archive under /usr/local/src. I've used git clone from /usr/local/src/nuxwin_support/imscp.
