Recent network problems - IP banning - Solution - CloudFlare

  • Dear community ;

    Following our recent network problems ( IP banning ) due too aggressive filter rules which were added by our hosting provider to fight again SYN attacks, we have setup a CloudFlare account which allows to pass all our traffic through their servers. The CloudFlare servers act as a proxy between you and our servers. This helps us to fight against spam and DDOS attacks without banning our visitors by mistake. This should also allow to improve the overall performances. The service has been just activated today and should be available for all in the next 24 hours. From your side, you do not have anything to do since those changes are totally transparents. We asked our provider to whitelist the CloudFlare IP addresses which should prevent any further IP banning.

    To resume, before CloudFlare service, the access to our services was as follow:

    You <---> Hosting Provider Firewall <---> i-MSCP Servers

    With CloudFlare, it is now as follow:

    You <---> CloudFlare Servers <---> [ Hosting Provider Firewall <---> i-MSCP Servers ]
