  • yes. So that the i-mscp installer will install the mysql server itself.

Or what do you think should i do?

My first approach was to do this steps:

    - install debian
    - copy /var/www/virtual and /var/mail/virtual to the new server
    - dump all dbs from server old and install on server new
    - run i-mscp installer

but i've learned that this was wrong..

Sorry, but your question is out of the free support that we provide. As we already said, we are not a school ;)

Regarding your problem with the untrusted SSL certificate, this was due to a broken openssl installation. I had to reinstall the openssl package with the DPkg::Options::=--force-confmiss option to force reinstallation of missing files (the /etc/ssl/openssl.cnf file was missing) and reconfigure the ca-certificates package (dpkg-reconfigure ca-certificates). Right now there are no longer untrusted SSL certificate issue.

I've done preinstallation of i-MSCP (build step) and I've removed the MySQL server afterwhile.

You can now rerun the i-MSCP installer as usually.

BTW: Your s3 instance get really slow when some DPKG(1) IO operations are involved... Installing i-MSCP on a s3 server instance is not really recommended.

  • Thank you very much!

It's running on one of our vSphere hosts (demo environment with very less resources for this vm). Just the server name is s3 :)
