Can't open perl script "imscp-autoinstall": No such file or directory

  • Dear all,

Its time to upgrade my really old I-MSCP 1.1.0.-rc1.4 (Eagle) I did follow this procedure:
    How-upgrade-1-1-0-rc4-7

    Get this error:

    # perl imscp-autoinstall -d
Can't open perl script "imscp-autoinstall": No such file or directory

Is this script not in this version or perl problem ? :S

Or is there a other way to do this ? Like backup all data my sql and directory, and restore this in a new version ?
What is wise in this case ? Yes i know i had to do this a few years ago ... ;(

Best regards to all of you ... ;)

  • Just did read the info in the errata ...

I run Debian Squeeze (6.x) But its in a virtual container. (OpenVZ) So upgrading to
Debian ≥ Wheezy (7.x) will likely give some troubles.

Normally i need a Debian ≥ Wheezy (7.x) Openvz template and reinstall I-mscp

So if this is the case. Is there a way to move the old I-MSCP 1.1.0.-rc1.4 (Eagle)
    to Wheezy (7.x) ?

    1.) Or Better reinstall a old I-MSCP 1.1.0.-rc1.4 in a new Wheezy (7.x)

2.) Then move the old data into this new machine and then do the upgrade ? (Same old versions)

3.) Upgrade all to the newest ...

Can it be done with rsync as i used this before ? Or is there a other way ?
I have backups of the virtual container so if things go wrong its not a big issue.

mmmh ? What is wisdom in this case ?

  • Yes you can also migrate your server to another one. There are some tutorials here in forum. If you're planning to migrate, use Debian Jessie instead of Debian Wheezy :)
