i have a problem to update a debian squeeze system from i-MSCP 1.1.13 to 1.1.14. The autoinstall-script ask me if i have a mysql-5.1 and other dbs, but i have a mysql-5.5 from dotdeb.org (and a newer php-version). I choose mysql-5.1.

After the autoinstall-script failed with an error, i check the actual mysql-version is 5.1 and the dotdeb-sources cleaned from the sources.list. Then i go back to mysql-5.5 and start the 1.1.13 autoinstall-script and then all works again.

What shoul i do, when i want to use the dotdeb-sources and got to a newer version of I-MSCP?

And should i go directly to 1.1.16 or should i go every step from 1.1.13 to 1.1.14 to 1.1.15 to 1.1.16?
Should i go to mariadb 10? With the autoinstall-script or hand-upgrade via apt-get?

i have a problem with the update since 1.1.6. then i update to 1.1.7, 1.1.8 and 1.1.9
But i don't have a file in /etc/imscp/ imscp_services.pem

But in the services i have the file included.

How can i make such a file with a shell command?

Thats a nice feature, i wait for the next maintenance branch. I think the best option ist that only an admin can change this serverwide.
After the disable from the admin, all customer account doesn't show the link. The admin can acitive this feature again and the link shows under customer.

Do you have better ideas about this feature?

Is there a posilibity with i-mscp webfrontend, or only with a shell?

Ich möchte das punktuell machen also nur einzelne Kunden rübernehmen (Daten aus web und mail von Hand kopieren) und die SQL-Daten importieren. Mir ist nur nicht klar, wie ich die Passwörter zu den Diensten FTP, MAIL von Hand übernehme, nachdem ich sie über das I-MSCP Frontend auf dem neuen Server angelegt habe.

i want to migrate from my old i-mscp installation to a new installation. when i set up an ftp or an email account on the new server i copy these passwords from the i-mscp database old to the new server, can i connect via ftp or pop3/imap with the old password to the new server?

Scheinbar scheint es keine Migrationshilfe-Skripte zu geben. Ist ja auch nicht schlimm.Dann will ich mal etwas konkreter werden:

Das wichtigste ist das ich für FTP, Mail und SQL Zugangsdaten die Passwörter aus dem bisherigen I-MSCP übernehme. Wenn ich direkt in I-MSCP in der Datenbank die hinterlegten Kennwörter direkt über z.B. phpMyAdmin von alten Server auslese und im neuen punktuell anpasse, gelten dann diese sofort?

Vielleicht seit ihr jetzt ein bischen verwundert über die Frage. Ich komme aber aus der Confixx Fraktion und da läuift alles nur über einen CronJob. Deser läuft und passt die Systemdateien für den Zugriff (z.B. die /etfc/passwd) an.

Ja, das stimmt. Mit I-MSCP hat es nicht zu tun. Den Eindruck habe ich vor vielen Jahren noch unter Debian Sarge gemacht. Dort hatte ich von 32-Bit nach 64-Bit migriert und es war eine mod_php Installation. Ich musste fast bei allen Web-Accounts das memory_limit verdoppeln, weil die Skripte mehr brauchten.

Wenn Eure Erfahrungen gut sind, dann kann ich es ja nochmal mit 64-Bit probieren. Die Maschine hat auch 12 GB RAM und ich weiss nicht, ob diese 32-Bit Bigmem Kernel irgendwelche Nachteile hat.

Ausserdem möchte ich nun fcgid nutzen, was in i-MSCP Standard ist.
Wenn aus Eurer Sicht noch etwas dagegen spricht, könnt ihr mir ja nochmal schreiben.
