Upgrade Git-Stable (20140608) to 1.2.2

  • Hello,

i have the "old" version running on my Server.

    Code
    1. i-MSCP Git stable
    2. Build: 20140608
    3. Codename: Eagle

Does anyone have Experience in Upgrading this to the Latest Stable? (1.2.2?)

I would like to upgrade without loosing too much Data...

Thanks a lot for the Help.

  • if you update/upgrade in a way a admin should do it so you never will loose any data...backups...backups...backups!

i personally had in the past quite a lot of problems while upgrading to Debian 8 and i-mscp versions...but this is fixed now as much as i know.

    1) you wait for i-mscp 1.2.3
    2) you go with the "develop" branch...wich i personally do

  • Thank you for your Answer... I do my Backups... Anytime, also if i am not planing a Backup... more or less every Day...

i have read about some problems depending the different versions... That is why i ask.

So you would recommend the develop-branch? Why?

Exactly what I wanted to say ;)

But I don't recommend develop branch which I've not tested since a lot ;)

I would recommend 1.2.x branch which is more stable (much tested). But anyway, better is to wait 1.2.3 version (which will be build from the 1.2.x branch). Version 1.2.3 will be released in few hours now. We are just a little late due to some internal problems.

  • Ok, i definitly have that time... :-)

i hope the internal problems are not too big...

Thank you for your hard work for this wonderful projekt...
