Recomendations to migrate from ispcp 1.0.5, debian lenny openvz to a new server

    My name is Andrés Carmona, from Spain.


    I have a production server running within openvz container debian lenny whith ispcp-panel 1.0.5. .- I have change to a new data center.
    How do you suggest me to do the migration.
    The new server is a openvz container debian wheezy.
    The production server has 1 domain, and 10 subdomains, and 200 email accaunts.

    I would:

    • migrate to the new server (squeeze)
    • upgrade to ispcp 1.0.7 (step by step)
    • migrate to imscp (current stable)
    • upgrade to debian wheezy
    • restart the imscp installer again

    I have copy the container to the new data center. I want to test in the new server the instalation. To do this I need to change the ip of the ispcp panel in order to test that everything it's ok. I have read that there is a howto to change the ip of the instalation, but I haven't find it. Do you have a link to this howto?

    No I haven't. Just replace the ips in the database & /etc/ispcp/ispcp.conf file. Think that should do the job..
