  • Hello,

I can't log in with new mail accounts an I don't know the real problem.
Intern I can send emails, but I can't log in with new accounts, no send and receive mails

I'm not an expert, but following services are up:

    I added the Logs.
    mail.err.txtmail.info.txtmail.log.txt

I hope you can help me :)

    Thank you in advance :)

  • hi,

i think your problem is euid in dovecot configuration (150 is unknow)

check dovecot config and check right in /var/mail/

    Debian 6 with proxmox 2 - OpenVZ - KVM
    I-mscp 1.0.3.0 migrate from ispcp 1.0.7
    dovecot + zarafa + z-push + maia mail guard + apacheITK

  • Hi krok, thank you for your answer :)

OK, I changed one times the id in users to 150 to trying, before I set it in a other id.
    I saw in dovecot.conf following entry: first_valid_uid = 150.

I set the rights for dovecot folder and files to vmail:mail, I hope that's correct?

Hmm, the folder /var/mails has root:mail and the virtual and the files are set it to vmail:mail and I saw, that the permissions are 700, is that ok?

I can meantime send mails, but not really receive

  • Hello,

    sorry for my late post.

    Current Status:
Hmm, I'm wondering. After many many hours it works now
Now I can log in, send and receive emails and send me self mails without errors and DSN work too
I must manually install SpamAssassin or so. I changed the domain name in srv1.DOMAIN.TLD

It's better when I read the log files ;)

Hmm, I use additionally Webmin and Postfix displays following:

    • What domain to use in outbound mail = hostname
    • General Options What domains to receive mail for = $myhostname, $mydomain
    • Internet hostname of this mail system: MYDOMAIN.TLD
    • Local internet domain name: XXX-XXX-XXX-XXX.DOMAIN_FROM_PROVIDER.TLD.local

  • Maybe problem with receiving e-mails was about DNS propagation?

How much time You've wait before You lunched "ALARM! It doesn't work!"?

    Additional note:
DNS propagation can take up to 48 hr.
