clamav-milter.ctl: No such file or directory

  • Hallo,

möchte in Kürze mein "Echtsystem" auf 1.3.0 updaten und habe deshalb noch in der Pipeline befindliche Debian Updates installiert. Nun erhalte ich bei jeder eingehenden Mail folgende Nachricht im Log:
warning: connect to Milter service unix:/clamav/clamav-milter.ctl: No such file or directory

Das ClamAV Plugin habe ich deaktiviert und auch wieder aktiviert, aber Problem bleibt bestehen.

Für einen kurzen Denkanstoß wäre ich dankbar :D

  • make sure that clamav milter service is running and then retry

  • ERROR: Parse error at line 37: Unknown option AllowSupplementaryGroups
clamav-milter: cannot parse config file /etc/clamav/clamav-milter.conf

  • ok. edit the file and remove the parameter. once done restart the service and try again. best would be to uninstall the olugin and reunstall it.

  • Ok, without this param -> no failure in logfile

  • @Bulli

What is your clamav milter version. Also, this was new plugin installation or an upgrade? If this was an upgrade, what was previous plugin version?

  • I have not updated the plugin. The installed version is 1.1.5. Milter version is 0.99.2.
After update my debian the failure was present.
I've read, that in the new clamav version this paramter (AllowSupplementaryGroups) is not supported.

Normally, latest version of the ClamAV plugin handle such a case (the parameter is not added in the configuration file if ClamAV >= 0.99.2 is detected: https://github.com/i-MSCP/plug…AV/backend/ClamAV.pm#L385

There is maybe an upgrade issue. I'll check ;)
