Couldn't delete subdomain due to mount point

  • Sorry to open another thread, but I have the problem from https://i-mscp.net/index.php/T…ain-Deletion-in-progress/ again. But now the fix is not working. Can you help me please?
(And is there any option to not use the mount feature to avoid that?)

Please give us more information about your environment: Distribution, Codename, i-MSCP version... To resume: Reporting rules - Reminder

    About your problem

The mount point /var/www/virtual/ruepp.info/logs/fleet.ruepp.info is not listed in the mount output you have posted. Please give us the result of the following commands:

    Shell-Script
    1. # grep /var/www/virtual/ruepp.info/logs/fleet.ruepp.info /proc/mounts

Note if output is empty, give try:

    Shell-Script
    1. # grep /var/www/virtual/ruepp.info/logs/fleet.ruepp.info /proc/*/mounts

    Also please:

    Shell-Script
    1. # ls -la /etc/mtab

And is there any option to not use the mount feature to avoid that?

There is an option that you should known if you read the errata file: https://github.com/i-MSCP/imsc…t_customer_logs-parameter

  • Hi,

    sorry, support information:
    - OS: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
    - I-MSCP: 1.3.16 (Horner 20170107)

Thx for the information how to disable the mount feature. Unfortunately the error also occures on trying to disable it.

    Code: grep /var/www/virtual/ruepp.info/logs/fleet.ruepp.info /proc/mounts
    1. - no result -

Translation: "Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden" -> "File or folder not found"

    Code: grep /var/www/virtual/bbox.nuxwin.com/logs/alias2.bbox.nuxwin.com /proc/*/mounts

I already applied the solution symlinking /proc/mounts

    Code
    1. lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 12 Feb 26 21:21 /etc/mtab -> /proc/mounts

Original one directly after reboot (replaced by hoster strato)

    Code
    1. root ~ # ls -la /etc/mtab
    2. -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 46 Feb 27 00:12 /etc/mtab
    3. root ~ # cat /etc/mtab
    4. /dev/vzfs / reiserfs rw,usrquota,grpquota 0 0
  • @UncleSam

    Retry with the right command:

    Code
    1. # grep /var/www/virtual/ruepp.info/logs/fleet.ruepp.info /proc/*/mounts

Original one directly after reboot (replaced by hoster strato)

    root ~ # ls -la /etc/mtab
    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 46 Feb 27 00:12 /etc/mtab
    root ~ # cat /etc/mtab
    /dev/vzfs / reiserfs rw,usrquota,grpquota 0 0

On reboot, the file shouldn't be reverted back to default. If it is reverted, that is not normal.

    Can I access the server?

  • Ok, @Nuxwin checked my server and there is a point where the hoster (Strato vServer) configuration has a mount script which resets the file /etc/mtab and writes some new mount information in it. At the moment it is fixed for my machine. BugTracker: https://youtrack.i-mscp.net/issue/IP-1700

Just to have the complete history:

  • @UncleSam

A fix has been added in our development branch. See https://github.com/i-MSCP/imsc…e6cff5bb4c2fbd35315c534eb
This fix will be part of next release.

    Thank you for your report.
