Using PhpSwitcher

  • Should PhpSwitcher be setup with 14.04 and php5 then add support for php7 or 16.04 with php7 then add support for php5 ?

  • Hello,

you can do it, like you want.

The PHPSwitcher Plugin can handle both variations.

One thing that might be useful when you set up a new domain, i-mscp will take first the standard php version that comes from the OS. But you can change it afterwards if you want.

    Best regards.

EDIT: When i had to choose, i would take 16.04 with PHP 7!

    Support Infos: I-MSCP Version: 1.5.x / Distro: Debian Stretch / PHP: 7.1.27 - FPM / I-MSCP Plugins: Let´s Encrypt + PHPSwitcher (latest Versions)

You can even go with Xenial + PhpSwitcher and provide many PHP 7.0.x versions. Why? Xenial system PHP version is not the last (7.0.8), while the PhpSwitcher plugin provide the last (7.0.14).

Note that the PhpSwithcher plugin also provide PHP 7.1.x version.

With phpswitcher I added php5.6 I had no problems installing and setting up but question about xmlrpc

    php7 is php-xmlrpc and for php5.6 its php5-xmlrpc

but since php5.6 is in phpswitcher how should i install php5-xmlrpc ?
